Biz Heart, a son of Roderic O'Connor, becoming the champion 2-year-old colt in Italy and winning the G2 Premio Gran Criterium, while Misterious Boy, by Arcano, landed the G3 Premio Guido Berardelli. Such sustained success earned Biz Bar an upgrade in the quality of her mates, and in 2015 she was covered by Sea The Stars. We await to see what the resultant colt, now two, is capable of on the track, but his looks and pedigree were such that he brought much wider promi- nence to the name of Le.Gi when topping Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Sale and, with an 850,000gns bid from Angus Gold of Shadwell, set a new sale record in the process. "It was our first time consigning in our own name at Tattersalls last year," says Giovanni. "It was a great moment for our farm and also for the Italian industry. We are very involved hands-on in our farm and in the past we have used consignors and we were satisfied, but at the same time we said to ourselves, consign- ing horses is our work, it's our core business. Now it's around ten years that we have consigned horses in Italy, so we thought we could do a good job." He adds, "It was an unbelievable result because we didn't have many vets [at the sale]—just two—so we were worried, but at the same time we believed a lot in the horse." Biz Bar will feature again at Tattersalls this autumn, where her daughter from the first crop of Golden Horn will be sold in Book 1. The mare is now in foal to Britain's leading stallion, Dubawi. "We are very proud that Biz Bar is in foal to Dubawi. It's not easy to get in to him; not many people in Europe have the chance and we are only a small farm,"
