ZOO NEWS MEMBER MAGAZINE 16 MEMBER NEWS LETTERS FROM OUR MEMBERS Recently as part of a competition, we asked you, our members, for some feedback so we can continue to improve our membership program. Below of some of the most consistent comments we received – thank you! We really appreciate it! NO MORE PLASTIC CARDS! Don't send out new cards each year. Just update the details and we can keep using the same card. You save money and it's less plastic going into landfill Zoo Member Deanne Thanks for your comment Deanne. We're really happy to report that from September 1, we'll no longer be sending out a new plastic renewal card every year for renewing members! We will not only reduce the amount of single use plastic produced but it allows us to divert funds spent on the cards towards our conservation programs. We really appreciate your support for initiatives like this and are constantly looking at ways to make our membership program more sustainable. Aaron, Membership Team RECIPROCAL ENTRY PLEASE A reciprocal membership agreement with Zoos in other states would be good for when on holiday. Zoo Member Ross Hi Ross, We're thrilled to let you know that we do in fact have reciprocal entry arrangements already in place with five interstate zoos: Taronga Zoo, Taronga Western Plains Zoo, Adelaide Zoo, Monarto Zoo and Perth Zoo. Depending on which state you reside, the terms and conditions of this reciprocal entry can vary. We recommend heading to zoo. org.au/members/terms-and-conditions-of- membership for the exact details. Ash, Membership Team MORE ANIMAL INFO Can we have more information sessions or an 'animal of the month'? I'd love to enrol in interactive workshops for example on reptiles and learn facts. Zoo Member Dominique What a great suggestion, thanks Dominique! You can catch dedicated animal 'Keeper Talks' at each of your zoos for some animals already. Simply check zoo.org.au/ whats-on for more details. THE A–TEAM! Meet Aaron and Ashley, they are part of our Membership Team. Aaron organises our Member Events and Ashley is head of Customer Engagement. HAVE A QUESTION FOR ASH OR AARON? We'd love to hear from you, get in touch via email, social media or via our friendly sales team and ask the team your burning questions about your Zoo Membership. Although we're not quite up to adding additional information sessions at the properties, we have decided to add more animal profile information to your monthly member email. We know that you love animal stories so we're always looking at ways to give you more! Aaron, Membership Team MEMBERS GETTING SOCIAL We love your photos and stories – keeping tagging the #zoomember so we can share your stories! Zoo Member Ari "Vet Ari working his magic on the sick and injured wildlife."
