Attendees will also have an opportu- nity to network with other women in the pharmaceutical industry. On the same day in the North Convention Center from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm, the Big Data and Machine Learning Summit Europe will explore how advances in machine learning and artificial intelligence are helping the pharmaceutical industry streamline processes, increase effi- ciencies, and better understand patients and outcomes. T&C CPhI Worldwide, a trade show on APIs and excipients, takes place October 9-11 in Madrid, Spain. Co-located with ICSE (contract research, development, and manufac- turing), InnoPack (packaging), P-Mec (pharmaceutical machinery), and FDF (finished dosage formulation), the exposition will host more than 2,500 exhibitors. Last year's event was attended by 45,000 pharmaceutical professionals representing various sectors of the pharmaceutical industry and more than 150 countries. Education The 3-day trade show and confer- ence will feature Pharma Insight Briefings, free educational seminars covering topics such as pharmaceuti- cal packaging, market entry, mergers and acquisitions, technological developments, and innovations in pharmaceutical ingredients and bio- logics. On October 9, Martin Junginger from Gelita will discuss how to manufacture enteric softgels in one step. On October 10, Lynne Byers of NSF International will present " M a n a g i n g t h e P h a r m a c e u t i c a l Supply Chain."
