The old adage "the more things change, the more they stay the same," ex- ists for a reason, but it couldn't be further from the truth when it comes to this year's two-day racing ex- travaganza set to take place Nov. 2-3 in Louisville. The event, which is celebrating its 35th year, is de- buting a new format featuring all of its 2-year-old races on the first day, calling it Future Stars Friday, while its other championship races will be Saturday. Meanwhile, Churchill Downs is looking forward to guests enjoying the $156.9 million in major capital improvements it has made since the last time the Breeders' Cup came to town in 2011. "There is a party for everyone at Churchill Downs, whether that is the Kentucky Derby or whether that's Breeders' Cup," said Sara Brown, the lifestyle commu- nications director at Churchill Downs. "No matter what you are looking for as far as seating and your experi- ence, we want to provide world-class service because Breeders' Cup is obviously world-class racing." For those interested in the ultimate crème de la crème day at the races, The Mansion, which debuted during the 2013 Kentucky Derby, is designed to fulfill every possible need. Located next to the famed Twin Spires on the sixth floor, the Mansion overlooks the finish line and paddock, and the interior space is de- signed to flow like the stately abode it is named after. If you think you know what kind of experience to expect at the Breeders' Cup World Championships this November at Churchill Downs, think again.
