In 2015, Robert Jones purchased a Trivan mobile slaughter
facility that was built in 2008 for an Alberta University
testing facility.
"Once approved by the China Inspection and
Quarantine agency, I was going to sell wholesale first
and later retail to individuals. But, now I will have
to market my beef backwards until the tariffs come
off," says Jones. "We have to go back and change our
e-commerce process. We may have slowed down, but we
aren't shut down."
