The new Roll-Belt round baler with a Kombi wrapper from
New Holland allows producers to bale and wrap simultaneously,
eliminating the need to make a second pass with a tractor and
bale wrapper. This new technology significantly reduces regrowth
damage and the time, labor and fuel needed to create top-quality
silage bales.
When bale formation is complete, the Kombi system wraps
the bale while you continue creating the next bale, so there's no
stopping and no slowing down. Two wrapping arms cover the
bale surface quickly to shorten wrapping time. The process is fully
automatic, and the in-cab monitor displays your progress and
monitors film use. When bale wrapping is complete, the system
gently lowers the wrapped bale to the ground.
Since bales are wrapped immediately after they're created, the
forage never touches the ground which reduces bale contamina-
tion from soil and cuts down on the chance of bad fermentation
and spoilage that can impact cattle weight gain, milk production
and reproductive performance.
The Kombi wrapper also doubles as an accumulator and allows
producers to drop two bales in one spot, reducing retrieval time,
fuel and machinery wear and tear.
