In addition, SSPC will be offering more than 30 training courses at the show to help train all coating profes- sionals, including blasters and painters, inspectors, consultants, engineers, and facility owners. You must register for the courses separately from the confer- ence, and the deadline for registering is January 18, 2019. Available courses in- clude: Abrasive Blasting Program (C7); Basics of Estimating Industrial Coat- ings Projects (EST); Coating Applica- tion Specialist Certification Program (CAS); Fundamentals of Protective Coatings (C1); and Protective Coat- ings Inspector Program (PCI). Special events SSPC 2019 will feature a variety of spe- cial events, including a Welcome Re- ception on Monday night, a Keynote Address with breakfast on Tuesday morning, an Exhibit Hall Reception on Tuesday night, complimentary lunch with exhibitors in the exhibit hall on Wednesday and Thursday, and a Closing Blast on Thursday. The Phil Calvo Memorial Golf Tour- nament is returning for the second year. It will be held on February 10, the day before the Conference starts, at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course. Pro- ceeds from this event benefit the SSPC Scholarship Program. The Annual Meeting and Awards Lunch will be held on Monday, Febru- ary 11. Join the association's leaders and board members as well as your peers as the 2019 award recipients are honored. Awards will be presented for outstand- ing achievement demonstrating aesthetic merit in industrial coatings work, outstanding industrial or com- mercial project demonstrating longev- ity of the original coating, extraordinary contribution and long-term activity on behalf of SSPC, and more. In addition, more than 30 technical committee meetings will take place during the show. SSPC strongly en- courages member participation in the work of these committees. Attending these meetings will provide an oppor- tunity to discuss progress related to the development of standards, technical guidelines, and more. PC More info Location. SSPC 2019 Coatings+ Conference will be held at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, 1000 Buena Vista Dr., Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830. The resort is 30 minutes from the Orlando International Airport. Hotel. All conference activities and hotel rooms are located at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. A block of rooms has been reserved at a dis- counted rate of $187 per night on a first-come, first-serve basis.
