Special Teams Coordinator | 1st season | Alma Mater: Bowling Green, 1982
Jeff Genyk, a veteran with 25 years of
college coaching experience, returned to
Northwestern as the program's Special
Teams Coordinator on Feb. 9., 2018. Ge-
nyk was a part of the NU's coaching staff
from 1994-2003, with responsibilities
for the special teams during each of his
final five seasons. The 'Cats won three
Big Ten championships and appeared
in four bowl games during Genyk's first
tenure. He most recently served as the
Special Teams Coordinator and Running
Backs Coach at Vanderbilt for the last
two seasons.

Mick McCall enters his 11th season
as the Wildcats' offensive coordinator
and quarterbacks coach, where he has
mentored All-Big Ten signal callers in
seven of his 10 seasons. McCall has
tutored the likes of senior Clayton
Thorson, Minnesota Vikings quarterback
Trevor Siemian and current Kansas City
Chiefs quarterbacks coach Mike Kafka.
NU quarterbacks have set seven of the
top-10 single-season passing marks
under McCall, while Thorson is on pace
to leave as the program's all-time leader
in yards, touchdowns and completions.
