OUR BELOVED CARSON-NEWMAN FAMILY: The Good Book teaches us that "There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven–" that God "has made everything beautiful in its time" (Ecclesiastes 3). July 8, this year, marked our 10 th anniversary of God's exciting call to join you in serving Him here at Carson-Newman University. These 10 years have been "beautiful in its time." How gracious you are to grant us so magnificent a joy! How blessed we are to be a part of your lives and history! A new appointed time now arises, a time to enter into a new season of life. With young grandchildren, ages nine months to eight years, we are eager to spend quality time with our grandchildren. The saying reminds us, "To be in your children's PRESIDENT J.
