The Launch of
Credentialing 2020
Credentialing 2020 is a BICSI
Board Strategic Plan initiative
that continues to modernize and
advance BICSI's credentialing
programs. Early work included
a review of our credentialing
processes by industry experts.
A Credentialing 2020 Task Force
was appointed to oversee the
initial process and set the direction.
Then third-party experts
conducted an audit of BICSI's
credentialing programs. Following
their recommendations, BICSI started implementation of Scheme
Alignment Studies* and Standard Setting Studies** for all BICSI
credentialing programs. Based on those findings, our OSP exam

The year is not quite over, but we still have a lot to celebrate! From record-breaking conferences,
to new and revised BICSI standards and credentialing programs, to furthering the BICSI brand into
different areas of the world, we've been busy!

increase exam integrity. As part
of Credentialing 2020, BICSI is
also improving credentialing
administrative processes, enabling
examinees and credential holders to apply for credentialing
exams and submit CECs online. Additional projects are
underway—all to ensure BICSI credentials remain relevant and
