THANKFUL
I'm a tougher critic on myself than anyone else. As I went back and evaluated my games from the last three years, I saw a lot of room for
growth. This is the hardest I've ever worked in the offseason. This is the most I've ever done to prepare for a season and that is because I have
a different mindset.
When I think about my senior season, obviously wins and losses are going to be the first measure of success, but for me, success also means
doing it the right way. I want to bring all my teammates along with me knowing that this is going to be the last time we get to do this together
at Northwestern.
I know how lucky I am to play this game. An injury forces you to recognize how quickly the game can be taken from you. You never know when
you will be playing in your last play.
My career could have ended at the bowl game. Football could have been gone forever.
Thankfully, it wasn't.
