In 2014, Michel Henochsberg agreed to write an edition of
Best Bets for the TDN, and he touted me on Pizza Santa Lucia
in Deauville, a tiny, cramped restaurant on the Avenue de la
République, just as you drive into town. The exterior is not
moved up at all by the fairly gaudy red, white, and green sign
out front, nor the uninspiring plastic drape around the porch,
designed to keep smokers warm in the winter.
Inside, the rather non-descript décor has undergone a bit of
renovation this year, with the walls in the main dining room
now covered in a soft white painted stone material, giving it
a slightly softer and warmer appearance than in years past.
They're dotted by photos of famous racing figures.
