O
BI ONWUZURUMBA OF NIGERIA, OUR DIRECTOR FOR EN-
GLISH-SPEAKING AFRICA, HAD A PASSION FOR REACH-
ING GOVERNMENT LEADERS WITH THE GOSPEL LONG BE-
FORE HE MET CAPITOL MINISTRIES®.
Obi, a former chemistry tutor-turned-clerg yman, and his
wife, Martha, a former pharmacist, have ministered together for
many years to take the Word of God to their nation's leaders. e
couple served as Special Assistants to Nigeria's immediate past
president from 2007 to 2015, and Obi also served as the Presi-
dent's chaplain in the State House where many Christian Public
Servants worshiped.
Currently, Obi and Martha are individually ministering to
former and current Legislators and politicians and holding Bi-
ble studies when possible. e couple also ministers to Civil
Servant fellowship groups, which are numerous. As much as
possible, Obi adapts and uses Capitol Ministries®' Bible studies,
which he describes as "rich and comprehensive."
"We have chosen to be part of Capitol Ministries®, having
seen the need to more effectively reach our politicians and top
civil servants with the life-transforming Gospel of our Lord Je-
sus Christ through Bible studies," Obi said. "We believe that
they will be better leaders if they respond positively and our
country will be better for it.
"ank you for the opportunity to share our dreams and
aspirations in our service for our Lord Jesus Christ."
