R ETAI LOBSE RVE R.COM MARCH 2019 18 A WORLD OF COLOR AT KBIS: VICTORIA + ALBERT UNVEILS EXCITING NEW COLOR SERVICE Victoria + Albert celebrated the launch of an exciting new color service at KBIS 2019, exclusively previewed to the trade during the three-day show in Las Vegas Beginning in April, customers will be able to personalize the exterior finish of their ENGLISHCAST ™ freestanding bathtubs and basins by ordering from an amazing spectrum of 194 RAL* colors in addition to six existing standard paint finishes. A choice of gloss or matte finishes means customers will be able to choose from over 28,000 variants of their bathtubs and over 5,000 variants of their basins. From brilliant blues to eggplant purples to sunny yellows, they'll have a multitude of possibilities to explore. Exterior paint finishes contrast elegantly with the crisp white ENGLISHCAST ™ interior of the freestanding bathtubs and basins. Renowned among homeowners and designers for its durability, ENGLISHCAST ™ is naturally white, beautifully strong and easy to clean. As homeowners and designers have become increasingly brave with color in the bathroom, Victoria + Albert is perfectly placed to offer on-trend tones. Pantone's "color of the year," Living Coral, has proven popular, while Elle Decor has identified a trend for deep blues and greens. Global color trend consultancy Colour Hive predicts that the hottest colors of the year will be a warm palette of apricots, tawny browns and parchment. Victoria + Albert uses state-of-the-art technology and techniques to create a beautiful finished look that can be vibrant and dramatic or muted and refined. Each piece is finished in multiple layers with a proprietary catalyzed paint that is polished by hand between applications – a process that lends exceptional depth and luster to the colored finish and is considerably longer- lasting than surfaces painted traditionally. All RAL painted bathtubs and basins require a six-week lead time. Visit www.vandabaths.com/us/world-of-color to learn more. I N D U S T R Y [ N E W S ]
