In addition to a possible return to Chur- chill Downs with Tax, the Reeveses have plenty to look forward to in 2019 with GSW Classic Rock set to return to the races, several promising runners in the barn, and more Mucho Macho Man progeny soon to hit the track. Though a love of horses and racing is a big part of what keeps them in the game, Dean Reeves said there are two other important aspects as well. "There are two really important things I have seen in the 10 years I have been in racing that I found keeps us in this," Reeves said. "One is the people we have met, who, if I wasn't in the horse racing business, I would never have met. They are passionate, energetic, determined, won- derful people. They have been supportive of Patti and me from the minute we got into horse racing. They are characters of all kinds. The new friends we have been able to make and the doors that have been opened for us through horse racing have been so important to us." He continued, "The second is the grooms, hot walkers, trainers, and vet- erinarians. I am always honored to be a part of it, the way you see them work day in and day out. The people involved are so passionate about the work that they do and they work so hard because of the love of the game and the love of the horse. You just don't find that everywhere. I have been taken aback and amazed at those folks that work in this business top to bottom. It is a credit to the job that they do for these horses and for their owners, getting our horses ready so we can sit up there with a coat and tie on and watch our horses perform. We are very beholden to all of them to enable us to enjoy this business as much as we do."
