"I bred and raised Drew," said Mallory. "He has the
same daddy as the yellow horse of Scott's, and his
mom is a half-Thoroughbred. He's not even papered.
The stud horse they are by throws smart, smart horses.
They have big brains and big motors."
While Drew and Ricky Bobby had very different starts
to their lives, their adaptability and willingness to do
whatever is asked of them are traits that belong to ev-
ery good outrider pony.
"These are very versatile horses," said Mallory. "We
sent Drew to a roping horse trainer, and he is a good
roping horse. I have also played some polo on him. He's
good at everything. Actually, they are both good polo
ponies. Horses like this can, and will, do so much."
