62 I ICT TODAY SUMMARY Today's digital world and intelligent building spaces have confirmed the critical nature of the availability and performance of the Wi-Fi infrastructure. Preparing the infrastructure for optimum performance is vital. The installation methods of the WAPs should be planned in advance. Consider how the APs are oriented and installed so that the full performance of the AP is being maximized for physical protection, code compliance, serviceability, aesthetics, and a seamless migration path to upgrades. AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY: Bree Murphy, RCDD, is the global training applications engineer for Oberon Inc. With more than 25 years of experience in the ICT industry, Bree has specialized in managing, training, and selling in the wireless, wired, data center and enterprise building spaces. She has focused on the end-user enterprise markets, such as healthcare, higher education, K-12, hospitality, and retail, as well as various government sectors. Bree works closely with the architects, consultants, and design engineers providing solutions for the customer, while providing strategic planning for integrators, contractors, and distributor business partners.
