BICSI MEA officially introduced itself to the area of Muscat, Oman by
holding a BICSI Technical Seminar at the Crowne Plaza, Qurum on
20 February. Paul Weintraub, RCDD, ESS, RTPM, TECH, CAE, BICSI Vice
President of Global Development & Support gave a brief overview of
BICSI and our products and services. He then gave a presentation titled,
"Global Standards for Smart Cities, IoT, ICT Infrastructure," which tied
back to BICSI standards.
After a break and more networking, two more presenters took the stage,
talking about ME 5G network architecture mapping and choosing the
right class of data center. Q&A sessions followed. Such an overwhelming
turnout, more chairs had to be brought in to accommodate attendees.
The exposure for BICSI MEA not only at the event, but after the event via
social media, was staggering. Thank you to IITC and Belden for sponsoring
this event.
Both men have made it their mission to grow BICSI membership and promote our association's presence throughout the Middle East and
Africa. We applaud their constant efforts. Feel free to reach out to them to share your thoughts about BICSI.
