Instructors will be NICA- cer fied coaches from the Carson High School Cycling Team. Instruc on will focus on safety, maintenance, e - que e, and proper techniques for uphill, downhill, and cross-country riding. Please have your bike inspected by a bike mechanic prior to the camp, to make sure it is in working order. A limited supply of bikes and helmets are available if you do not have your own. 9-14yrs Ash Canyon Trailhead (Corner of Winnie & Foothill) KIDS TO PARKS DAY It's the Na onal Outdoor Day of Play! Join us for The Na- onal Park Trust's 9th Annual Kids to Parks Day. Across the na on, Kids to Parks Day brings thousands of children to local parks to learn about nature and experience outdoor recrea on. In Carson City, Kids to Parks Day also marks the first event of our Junior Ranger Program! Join us for a fun- filled day of outdoor ac vi es, such as environmental edu- ca on booths, guided hiking, arts & cra s, yard games, and more! All KTP Day ac vi es are FREE to the public, but re- member to bring lunch money for the local Food Trucks. Hope to see you there! Silver Saddle Ranch All Ages JUNIOR RANGER PROGRAM The Carson City Junior Ranger Program educates youth about the environment, fosters a sense of community, and encourages life-long environmental stewardship. The "Leave No Trace" Hike and Wildlife Walk are where young adventurers can explore the outdoors in an immersive and respec ul way, while learning about important local wild- life. Nature Naviga on and Environmental Career Day are for the older explorers, ages 10-13, for learning how to use a compass and what kind of jobs they can seek out in the natural sciences. Junior Ranger Ac vity Guides are limited, so please go to www.carson.org/ccpr to register children ages 5-13 for this fun, free program! Various Loca ons 5-13 yrs TOT-TREK Would you like to meet other parents in Carson City? Bring your children 5yrs old and younger for a one-mile guided walk at Riverview Park. You will learn about local wildlife and history while your children have the opportunity to complete a scavenger hunt bingo card on the walk. This event is geared towards younger children but all ages are welcome. Riverview Park All Ages WALK WITH THE WEEDS Noxious weeds cause damage to our na ve Nevadan plants, causing issues for the farming industry, local wild- life, and more. Learn how to recognize common invasive weeds (in addi on to our NV na ve plants). You will also have the opportunity to witness the progress of a biologi- cal-control experiment targe ng the noxious weed, Cana- da thistle.
