longhorned tick
Ticks and tick-borne diseases are a large part of our practice as
veterinarians. Whether we diagnose and treat clinical disease, or
educate pet families about taking preventative measures,
it seems these ectoparasites and the diseases they
transmit are consistently a part of our practice.
However, there are some emerging concerns
regarding ticks and tick-borne diseases
that we all need to be aware of. The
Center for Disease Control (CDC) has
released data indicating tick-borne
diseases is on the rise, again.
