URBAN AFFAIRS Neighborhoods e Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center will immerse you in the famed explorers' expedition. According to Supervisory Interpreter Jeff LaRock, "We are the only site to tell the story of the entire expedition." To Lewis and Clark aficionados, the center is the premier stop on the Corps of Discovery tour. Exhibits begin with an explanation of President Jefferson's Commission, document high points and challenges throughout the expedition, and continue beyond the journey itself. e center also tells the story from multiple perspectives—those of Lewis and Clark, and of Native Americans, who were greatly affected by the expedition and the westward movement that followed. Education Coordinator Duane Buchi describes the center as "a gem in our great city," and "a destination for people from across the globe." Summer hours (May-September) are 9 a.m.-6 p.m., and adult admission is $8. e 25,000' center is accessible, features a gi shop, and is a great starting point for exploring the River's Edge trails.
