Heather Bode is an award winning
children's magazine writer. She's a non-

If you're in the mood for a short weekend road trip, come on out for
the Blast from the Past menu. With the demise of Burger Master's and
Zandy's, many Great Falls residents felt they lost a part of their history.
Blocher has remedied that too. Using original recipes from these
family diners, Blocher and her staff recreate dishes that remind people
of a by-gone lifestyle, not just a taste. "I got the recipes from a friend of
a friend. ey approached me and it took about 8 months to look into
it and make sure we weren't infringing on the use of names, etc. We've
actually had the families of these restaurants come in and they support
us 100%. In this way, their history doesn't die," says Blocher, "My
mind is always spinning. 'What can I do without changing history?'
because I love the history."

Special events like Oktoberfest and an annual anniversary party
keep everyone coming back to the bar where it all began.
Return customers include hunters, fishermen, campers,
local ranchers hosting shipping parties, and anyone in the
mood for a road trip.
