Q: You have worked for a number of
credit unions over the years. What
makes them special?
A: Credit unions are unique in their
operations. ey are involved in their
communities and pride themselves
on building lasting and memorable
relationships with their members. I like that!
Q: Which branches have you worked at
while you've been with Redstone?
A: I started at the Wynn Drive branch as
a teller. From there, I worked at Redstone
Arsenal, Parkway City Mall, e Mall, South
Parkway and North Parkway branches. I was
a manager at all of those branches, except
Parkway City Mall. I loved working at and
managing the Redstone Arsenal branch
because of my connections to the military
community. I finished my career where it
started – Wynn Drive.
Q: What are you most looking forward
to in retirement?
A: Spending time with family. I have three
sisters in Florida waiting for me. Also,
traveling, going to the beach and doing
some gardening.
Q: What do you hope members and staff
remember most about you?
A: e lasting and memorable relationships
I have built with members and staff over the
years. I am a believer and an achiever, and I
allow and encourage employees to network,
grasp opportunities, take on new challenges
and strive for continued success.
Q: I hear you are a pretty good Scrabble
player. How often do you play?
A: I play every day. It keeps your mind young.

Rita Robateau was born in Belize, Central America, and
immigrated to the United States in 1969. She settled in
Huntsville, AL, with her military husband after living in
four other states.
Barely a twinge of Central American accent remains after
all these years, but the twinkle of adventure still sparkles
in Rita's eyes.
After 32 years at Redstone Federal Credit Union, Rita is
on the move again – this time to sunny Florida, Scrabble®
games and travel.
