We're celebrating the arrival of nine baby Plains-wanderers, one of the most genetically important birds in the world! In late March, nine tiny fluffballs emerged from their eggs at Werribee Open Range Zoo. This is only the second time these unique and critically endangered birds have been bred at a zoo in Victoria! WERRIBEE ON CLOUD NINE AFTER PLAINS-WANDERER CHICKS HATCH FUN FACT Plains-wanderers are so genetically unique that there are no other birds quite like them in the whole world.
