Conclusion
"In the end, it's not the years in
your life, but the life in your years".
-Abraham Lincoln
There are two inherent truths when it comes to retirement today;
the first is that no generation prior to today has ever been more
responsible for their retirement. The second is that it has never
been more difficult than in the present to navigate all the
decisions and factors that will dramatically affect one's retirement
both positively or negatively.
We are living longer, and many people are retiring earlier than
generations before them. The timeline that needs to be
covered by income resources through the retirement phase of
your life has never been longer. Even the smallest financial
decisions can impact your retirement in a major way. A social
census that has been done for decades ranked people's
greatest fears. The number one rated fear since the inception of
the study, without exception, was death. A few years ago, death
was unseated from its number one status and replaced by the
fear of "outliving my money." This is one of many testaments to
the importance of properly planning for retirement.
