The College Police of f ice is open 24 hours, seven days a week. Accidents on Campus It is impor tant that the College Police Depar tment be notif ied of accidents that take place in the classroom or any other area of the college as soon as possible. All accidents must be documented by College Police. The situation will also be assessed with the intent of referring students/staf f for fur ther medical at tention. Most students are covered by MCCCD student insurance. The insurance forms are processed through the Center for Civic & Global Engagement. After Hours Students are not allowed inside College buildings af ter normal classroom hours without a staf f person present. Campus Hours The SCC campus opens ever y day at 6:0 0 a.m. and closes at 11:0 0 p.m. Emergency Evacuation Procedures When a building f ire alarm sounds, or another emergenc y exists requiring the evacuation of a building , all persons must immediately exit the building in an orderly manner. Contac t College Police by dialing (4 80) 78 4 - 0911 or by using a " Blue Light " securit y phone. If emergenc y personnel are required, call " 9 -1-1" immediately from an outside location away from the building ; then remain clear of the building so that emergenc y personnel can safely approach the scene. Emergency Vehicle Assistance The Police Depar tment will assist persons with vehicles requiring "jump star ts." Contac t College Police at (4 80) 423 - 6175. Lost and Found The College Police Depar tment is responsible for lost and found proper t y on the SCC campus. If you have lost or found an item, please contac t College Police in Room LIB - 450, nor theast corner of the Librar y Building , or call (4 80) 423 - 6175. Parking Regulations The following parking regulations are those most frequently encountered on the SCC campus. A complete copy of the Distric t Parking and Traf f ic Regulations is available from the College Police Depar tment or the Dean of Student Ser vices of f ice. 1. Parking is permit ted within designated parking areas. Student parking permits are not required. 2. Parking is not permit ted on grass, unpaved areas or on sidewalks. 3. Vehicles parking in S TAFF parking spaces must display a valid permit. 4. Parking in HANDIC APPED parking spaces is reser ved for vehicles displaying valid permits or license plates. 5. The maximum speed limit in parking lots is 15 MPH. 6. Parking or leaving a vehicle unat tended in a red curb f ire lane is prohibited. 7. Pull-through or back-in parking is prohibited. Students who violate the Traf f ic and Parking Regulations may be f ined and/or disciplined in accordance with the guidelines established by the MCCCD Governing Board. See the Tuition and Fee Schedule (Appendix S - 4) for the list of parking violations and f ines at: ht tps://district.maricopa.edu/regulations/admin-regs/ section-2/2-10 Campus Crime Statistics The Annual Safet y and Crime Repor t is prepared to inform you of Scot tsdale Communit y College's campus crime statistics for the three previous years as well securit y policies and steps you can take to enhance your personal safet y. The repor t may be accessed from the College Police sec tion of the SCC website. ht tps://w w w.scot tsdalecc.edu/college-police Fundraising Policy All clubs/organizations planning fundraising events on campus must complete and submit an Event Registration Form. The form is available in the Center for Civic & Global Engagement and must be submit ted along with the Facilit y Request Form no later than t wo weeks before the event is to take place. No project or event may take place until the Event Registration Form has been approved. The Center for Civic & Global Engagement is located on the nor th side of the Student Center Building , Room 185 (nex t to the Cafeteria), and is open Monday through Thursday from 8:0 0 a.m. to 6:0 0 p.m.; Friday from 10:0 0 a.m. to 5:0 0 p.m. Summer hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:0 0 p.m.; closed on Friday. Weapons on Campus With the exception of campus police of f icers and other state cer tif ied police of f icers, the possession or use of a f irearm on campus is stric tly forbidden. The Maricopa Communit y College Distric t Governing Board promulgated the weapons polic y under AR S §13 -2911 C. Anyone violating the polic y is subjec t to arrest under AR S §13 -2911 and/or subjec t to applicable college disciplinar y procedures. Scot tsdale Communit y College is located on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Communit y reser vation. SRPMIC ordinance prohibits f irearms on the reser vation, except those owned by communit y members and Arizona State Cer tif ied L aw Enforcement Of f icers.
