Here are three ways to help ensure visitors will want to return again and again: 1. Maintain a comfortable environment: Create a safe and calm space when they first enter. Consider separate waiting rooms for dogs and cats. Subtle lighting and low volume help promote a calming atmosphere. 2. Promote wellness: Offer an annual preventive care program for a set fee that can be paid in a lump sum or monthly. Consider including such comprehensive services as flea and heartworm treatment, dental care, routine vaccinations—and discounted rates on grooming, boarding, and/or sale items. 3. Create a loyalty program: Improve patient compliance and reward pet owners for taking great care of their pets. Get started at petlocity.net. Keep them coming back. It's a great way to demonstrate that your open house isn't all about you—but the pets and owners you serve.
