GLOBAL Page 17 On 24 July 2019, BICSI EMEA successfully held its 2nd Annual B-NET at the Marriot Harbour Hotel in Dubai. With 62 delegates, the event significantly grew from the previous year. The BICSI B-NET is an opportunity for industry professionals to network and is a platform for BICSI staff to update those in attendance on the EMEA Region's upcoming activities. The evening began with networking over canapés and beverages. Paul Weintraub, RCDD, ESS, RTPM, TECH, CAE, BICSI Vice President of Global Development and Support and Haitham Hussien, RCDD, BICSI UAE Vice Chair presented two delegates with their RCDD ® certificates and congratulated them on their achievements. Later Paul Weintraub and BICSI EMEA Region Manager Rob Chandler gave a presen- tation on the EMEA Region's upcoming activities, including the 3rd Annual ACE Summit and the 2020 BICSI EMEA Region Conference & Exhibition. The crowd was engaged, taking photographs of the presentation slides and lining up to speak with Paul and Rob afterward. The event continued with lively interactions until its close. The 2nd Annual B-NET saw a 30 percent increase in delegates compared to last year. In addition, there were many new faces of those who wanted to be involved with BICSI in some way—individuals from companies such as Tarkeeb, Etisalat, Meinhardt, ARP and more. Thanks to the support of BICSI volunteers, the 2nd Annual B-NET was a huge success! TECHNICAL SPEAKERS WANTED for 2020 EMEA Conference & Exhibition 13-15 April • Dubai World Trade Centre • Dubai, UAE Now that BICSI has a new Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Region, we're expanding on our tradi- tional BICSI MEA Conference. That means we want to make it even bigger and more comprehensive, with an agenda that encompasses information and com- munications technology (ICT) topics from every indus- try segment. To make that happen, we're gathering top-notch speakers ready to share their ICT expertise. The 2020 BICSI EMEA Conference & Exhibition, the premier event for the global ICT and extra low-voltage (ELV) community, will return to last year's venue, the Dubai World Trade Centre on 13-15 April. Presenting at a BICSI conference adds to the content value of the event by teaching delegates how to succeed in the field. But there's more—it also shines a spotlight on you and your organization, and the value you provide. So if you're an innovator looking for a globally recognized platform to share your industry insight, consider presenting at the 2020 BICSI EMEA Conference & Exhibition.
