BERGIN BROTHERS
"[Joe's] been such a good older brother with football, school and the transition into NU," said Chris. "He
could have not helped me, but he completely guided me. He gave me the blueprint."
As for Joe, his final season of football offers him a chance to, as he put it, "appreciate the little things the
game has given me." That means early morning lifts, August camp and just playing the game he loves with
some of his closest friends. As fate would have it, this also marks the fourth and final time the pair will suit
up for the same team. With both brothers now in the latter halves of their collegiate careers, their years of
Division 1 football are quickly flitting away as the next 40 years loom ever closer. But no matter what comes
next for Joe and Chris Bergin, you best believe they will be ready.
"They took the 'work hard, keep your mouth shut and good things will happen' quote to heart," said Joseph.
"It's about working hard, but also getting the opportunity and taking advantage of it."

I ADMIRE HIS WORK ETHIC. I DON'T KNOW IF HE
EVER SLEEPS. HE WILL PUT HIS HEAD IN THE DIRT
AND WORK HARDER THAN ANYBODY.

I HAVE NEVER MET SOMEONE SO COMPETITIVE IN
MY LIFE. BUT WITH THAT COMES HARD WORK. HE
JUST WANTS TO WORK HARD TO SET HIMSELF UP.
