Consumers will hear these numbers and expect what is being reported is what is happening in our local market. At times it can be very close, other times it can be far from the truth. Every market and situation is unique, some numbers seen in national trends may not always line up with what is happening locally. Through September of this year, closed sales remain close to where we were September of 2018, however pending sales in the region are up 5.3% through that same period. We have reported for months that inventory is low, and that trend continues. That does not always mean supply and demand equals higher price point. Properties that are updated, renovated, and move in ready are in high demand. Fewer of today's consumers are not willing to take the time and work to renovate.
