GLOBAL Page 29 EVENT RECAP India Satellite Seminars in Chennai and Hyderabad The BICSI India District recently held two satellite seminars in Chennai and Hyderabad on 5 July and 9 August, respectively. These frequent seminars are held in various parts of India to reach individuals and organizations in the ICT industry and discuss, update and deliberate on the latest technologies, trends and products. Attendees usually consist of consultants, system integrators, OEMs, end customers, IT managers and senior academia faculty. Concurrent invite-only workshops also take place during these seminars. The Chennai workshop topic was "What Makes a Building 'Smart'? Addressing Smart Building Challenges" and the Hyderabad workshop focused on "PoE and its Role in the Future of Digital Buildings & the IoT." BICSI India received the "Outstanding Contribu- tion" award for efforts in imparting knowledge in the skill ecosystem in ICT and telecom at Telecom Manthan 2019. The annual industry event, which took place on 28 June 2019 at The LaLit New Delhi Hotel, focuses on emerging technologies and their role in creating demand for Talent Pool Transformation. The award was presented by Arvind Bali, former CEO Videocon Telecom to Manish Agrawal, BICSI India Steering Committee member on the behalf of the BICSI India District. BICSI INDIA RECEIVES "OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION" AWARD "Digital Infrastructure and Performance Managing Multi-Suite and Campus Environments" was the theme of Tech Breakfast Romania on 3 July 2019 at the Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Old Hotel. Over 30 people listened to industry experts talk about the latest technologies and standards as they relate to managing complex structures, upgrading MMF infrastructures, smart buildings, IoT, PoE and CPR. The Q&A that followed led to a range of interesting and engaging technical discussions.
