the end of the year and will be launching a full program to all of BICSI member- ship after the 2020 Winter Conference & Exhibition. [See the Global Mentorship Program article on page 7]. It is truly an exciting time to be a BICSI member! Everyone Wins Mentorship programs are low-tech, low-cost, high- reward—a WIN-WIN-WIN. Seasoned members of BICSI get an opportunity to pass on knowledge, contacts and experience to younger col- leagues, new to the industry, to help them build a support system and navigate their career path. Mentees/protégés gain access to a coach and sponsor while offering fresh insight to common issues. And as an organization, BICSI gains members that understand the value of being part of an association and the importance of not only being a member, but also being involved as a volunteer. Mentee members of our Mentorship Pilot Program are already excited to get more involved in BICSI and to participate in the Mentorship Program as Mentors. In the words of the "millennial" author and editor, Ayesha Siddiqi, "Be who you needed when you were younger." BICSI is working to increase support of and focus on our future genera- tions; and we truly need to build up the Emerging Professionals (including ALL ICT professionals: designers, installers, sales and marketing up-and-comers, project managers, etc.) of our industry to ensure that the hard work and legacy of the current and past generations of BICSI not only continues, but thrives. It is of utmost importance to have the full support and partici- pation of our BICSI leaders and members in this initiative. In a world and time when skilled trades are completely at the mercy of younger generations choosing to see them as not only viable, but VALUABLE career paths, it is our responsibility to do everything we can do to foster and encourage growth within our industry and our beloved BICSI association.
