here's a new player in the Monterey
Peninsula real estate community, and
The Agency has entered the fray in an impres-
sive manner: among its first listings is a Pebble
Beach waterfront home that held the record
for highest sale price for a residential property
in Monterey County. Another is a building
lot in the exclusive Monterra development of
Monterey.
Founded in 2011 in Beverly Hills by now
CEO Mauricio Umansky with the intent of
being "an industry-disrupting brokerage that
would redefine the business of real estate," The
Agency touts itself as "A global marketing and
sales organization."
"We are a luxury boutique agency encour-
aging alliances with like-minded professionals,"
says Cicily Sterling, who works under The
Agency brand umbrella here in Carmel.
To date, The Agency has racked up more
than $17 billion in total sales and boasts 550
agents in more than 30 offices in the United
States, Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean.
"The Agency Carmel is all about collabora-
tion and a culture where all agents and staff are
as key to The Agency's success as the founders/
CEOs," Sterling says.
The Agency's Carmel office is located in the San
Carlos Square Courtyard on San Carlos between
5th and 6th. More information is online at the-
agencyre.com/carmel-by-the-sea.
