Join us as we transform life's challenges into opportunities. WHO Do We Serve? M-NASR serves children, teens, and adults with physical, intellectual, and emotional disabilities through community recreation activities. These services are available to individuals who reside within our seven Member Park Districts which include: Des Plaines Park District, Golf-Maine Park District, Morton Grove Park District,Niles Park District, Park Ridge Park District, Skokie Park District, Village of Lincolnwood Parks & Recreation Department WHEN Do We Serve? M-NASR provides programming throughout the year. Special services include summer camps, special event and holiday trips, after school and day off from school programs. WHERE Are We? M-NASR provides a wide range of recreation and leisure programs for people of every age, ability and interest in our service area. These activities include: Adapted Activities, After-School Programs, Aquatics, Arts & Crafts, Cooking, Cultural Arts, Fitness, Special Events, Special Olympics, Sports, Summer Day Camps, Vacation Trips, and Inclusion Services. Our senior participants enjoy low impact and aqua aerobics classes, social clubs and advocacy programming. Our Supporting Arms The Liponi Foundation The Liponi Foundation for Special Recreation was formed in 1990 to facilitate participation by children and adults with disabilities in recreation programs. The Foundation was named after the late Sam Liponi who was generous in his support of the Maine-Niles Association of Special Recreation and that work continues today through the efforts of the Foundation. If you are interested in supporting individuals with special needs by attending Foundation fundraisers or making a donation, please call Peggy Wilson, Foundation Treasurer at (847) 966-5522. Corporate Giving Programs Do you or someone you know work for an organization with a corporate giving program? These businesses have grant/fundraising opportunities in place for 501 (c)(3) not-for-profi t organizations like M-NASR. If you do, please contact us at (847) 966-5522.
