The university's mission to serve students, in partnership with the
greater community, has deep roots. Founded through the collaborative
efforts of the Sisters of Providence, the Ursuline Sisters, the Bishop of
Great Falls and the greater community, UP continues to provide higher
education today to those who can most benefit from a caring Catholic
community. Faculty are guided by principles of social justice, human
dignity, and peace.
