Waycott and ABC Chair Holly A. King kicked off the conference with the annual State
of the Industry address. The two shared the challenges the industry faced in 2019 and
encouraged attendees to remain diligent in anticipating and tackling future issues.
The Thursday morning General Session featured a power-packed panel
of food and beverage innovators who are charting their own paths in the realm of
plant-based foods. Among the panel were moderator Jennifer Barney (left) of 3rd &
Broadway, a food product innovation consulting company, and Jenny Eu (right) of
Three Trees, a producer of organic almond milks.
