River in western Florida.
Manatees are probably
the gentlest, sweetest
animals I've ever
encountered anywhere
in the wild. As much as
divers are interested in
experiencing and inter-
acting with them, many
manatees are just as
interested in engaging
with us. Some love to be
scratched and petted."
