the humpback encounters here are the best anywhere. The way the land and the bay's deep
submarine canyon interact with the sea creates one of the most biologically rich ecozones
anywhere. These whales know this and come here each summer to forage."

oday, Jason Bradley
makes his home on
the Monterey Peninsula. He
operates a high-end profes-
sional photo printing serv-
ice, maintaining a prestigious
client list that included
renowned photographer
Amos Nachoum (profiled in
the November issue of
Carmel Magazine) and
Apple. He also teaches pho-
tographic arts and maintains
a gallery showcasing his
work at 178 Grand Avenue
in Pacific Grove. The pho-
tographer leads small
groups of photographers on
expeditions around the
globe but was irresistibly
drawn to put down roots
here. "I love working in
Monterey," he says. "It's one
of the most complete
ecosystems on the planet."
