R ecently, Monterey Pacific International Jet (MPI Jet) joined with Dallas-based Global Wings and Carmel's Wine Flights to offer an almost unlimited suite of private flight services, including aircraft management and maintenance, from the Monterey Jet Center. "The biggest thing that sets us apart from com- mercial travel is our clients can call and say their meeting is at a specific location and we can find them an airport close to where they want to go, and they get to skip hours with TSA and traffic," says Director of Operations James Garamendi. "They park next to the plane and are onboard within 5 minutes of arrival enjoying a catered menu." The fleet of five planes can take 1-9 pas- sengers, but partner airlines can accommodate practically any requests. "If we don't have it, we will find you an aircraft," says Sales and Marketing team member Shane Smit. Safety is a huge priority to the company, which most commonly takes care of businesspeople and families, but is also equipped to transport small cargo. Destinations frequently include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Napa, San Diego, Las Vegas, Texas, Arizona, Canada and Mexico. The team is responsive to requests 24/7.
