Richard Lauritzen has called Great Falls home for the
last 50 years. After retiring as a surgical physician, the
call of the outdoors beckoned, reigniting his love for
art. Lauritzen finds inspiration in Montana's majestic
mountains, prairies, and rivers, but fly-fishing sparks his
artistic passion. 2020 marks Lauritzen's twelfth year with
"The Russell". This year he will have paintings in both
Friday's and Saturday's auctions. More of Lauritzen's
work will be auctioned off at the Out West Art Show's
Miniature Auction taking place at the Heritage Inn during
Art Week in Great Falls. Lauritzen is a longtime member of
the Montana Painters Alliance. His work can be found at
the Winston Gallery at 317 Central Avenue in Great Falls
or at Latigo and Lace in Augusta, MT.
