"Many are framed in historic frames from the 1800's." Award-winning contemporary western oil painter Amber Blazina, who specializes in Impressionist and Expressionist alla prima methods, will also have her captivating wildlife work on display at this year's show. Guests can check out an array of works by Cheryl King, who describes herself as a "painter of the animal kingdom." King paints almost exclusively on aluminum, sometimes adding fused glass to create a multi-layered effect. "Fun-loving, bold, honest and energetic are the qualities I endeavor to bring to my compositions," she says. "My constant goal is to honor the animal I am painting in the manner it deserves; to elevate it's position beyond a mere critter into a spectacular creation of Mother Nature." The Out West events wind down on Saturday night, but not without an epic sendoff. "Our big-boom wrap-up will be a performance by Rob and Halladay Quist," Godwin says. The father- daughter duo's country and bluegrass ditties will keep you boot-stompin' all night long.
