The younger player develops soccer skills and gains confi dence, coordination, motor skills and communication. Each class is designed to develop endurance, promote good sportsman- ship and teamwork. Coaches pitch during games with more emphasis placed on how to fi eld, hit, run the bases, and the basic rules of the game. An 11-inch softball will be used. At this age the focus starts to change from simple games to organized, tacti- cal, competitive games.
