34 CM 2019 | International Ben-Oni Ardelean Europe Director Romania R omanian Parliamentarian Dr. Ben-Oni Ardelean, one of the leading Evangelical office holders in all of Eu- rope, became Capitol Ministries Global Director for West- ern Europe this year. In this position, Dr. Ardelean will be spearheading work to grow Capitol Ministries in capitals across the continent. "I believe Capitol Ministries could provide the answer for not only spiritual 'searchers' in the political arena but could also further transform nations and lead the way for a new en- vironment in divisive Europe," he said. "Recent events have proved that European Union (EU) links are loose (Brexit proved that!) and are not keeping the continent together. Real unity in Europe cannot be achieved by seeking a com- mon market, rather only by the transforming and powerful Word of God in the lives of political leaders." Dr. Ardelean currently serves as Deputy Speaker of the Romanian Parliament, one of the highest offices in the na- tion. Among degrees he has earned are a Ph.D. in political science from the National School of Political and Adminis- trative Studies and a Ph.D. in theolog y from the University of Bucharest. In a career that has spanned decades, Dr. Ar- delean has built relationships with faith leaders and politi- cal leaders across Europe. is year he and Ralph Drollinger met with leaders in Serbia, Macedonia, Moldova, Ukraine, Norway, and Italy. His efforts helped paved the way for new ministry launches in many of these and other countries. Dr. Ardelean is also working to establish a CapMin ministry to political leaders in the EU in Brussels. In that the EU is very complex and has many facets, this will require a growing CapMin team over the coming years. Once established, the EU ministry will have similar influence in Europe that Cap- Min's D.C. ministries have had on ministry growth in state capitals across America. "Capitol Ministries has a unique mission to impact the secular political arena in Europe with the transforming Word of God," Dr. Ardelean said. "Once the working field of the apostles, once the arena of the martyrs, and the birth place of the Reformation, Europe now sits in a place of darkness, dominated by a secularist ideolog y. e need is great to re- gain its spiritual and ethical direction. Capitol Ministries desires to transform the continent's political leaders and that will impact nations."
