38 CM 2019 | International F rom his vantage point in a nation somewhere in Asia, the man who has agreed to serve as Asia Director is well positioned to work with fellow believers in neighboring countries to establish ministries throughout the continent. A man of God who has openly lived his faith all of his life, the Asia Director is well connected with other Christians in this area of the world that is openly hostile to Christianity. We are not naming him, nor are we identifying the nation he is from because to do so would put his life in further dan- ger. He lives in a country where it is illegal to share his Chris- tian faith and yet he does. Like Daniel, David, Joseph, Paul, Caleb, Joshua, and many other biblical leaders who risked their lives for God, he has made the decision to help fulfill the Great Commission despite personal danger. Already he has been physically attacked a dozen times. Once, as he was held down by an assailant's foot on his neck, others around him drew their swords. Each time, God mi- raculously saved him. Our Asia director said aer working for years to reach political leaders for Christ, he has joined with us to continue that mission with our biblical methods. e reason is clear and pure: "My grandfather was a militant Islamist and someone reached him with the gospel," he said. While believers in the United States sacrifice their time and treasure to further the gospel, many in other nations also risk their lives. "It seemed good to us, having become of one mind, to select men to send to you … men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
