Oaks in Office | CM 2019 43 Are you starting a ministry to local government leaders? Oaks in Office provides the study material for Local Government Ministries, an endeavor to create discipleship Bible study ministries to the 512,000 elected city and county commissioners in the more than 40,000 incorporated local governments in neighborhoods across America. Oaks in Office contains 52 Bible studies that average eight pages long, one for every week of the year. "And the gap in church-state theology books is not because no one wants this material, the gap is there because so few people are creating it. This is something people care about. We have an opportunity to get these tools not only to pastors, but to lay people, people who teach Sunday school, seminary students, home-schoolers, this broad range of people who take their faith seriously in all aspects of their life. This is one of those areas where, especially in modern America as things get more polarized, people are figuring out, 'What do I actually believe and why do I believe it?'" Brannon Ellis Director of Original Content for Faithlife and publisher for Lexham Press coming soon The Government and Economics series that investigates capitalism versus communism; biblical tax policies; debt, money, and inflation; and resource development, among other topics, will be published as Oaks in Office Part 5 in 2020.
