Early next year, Pastor Solomon will be leaving a post he has held for 13 years at Southgate Baptist Church in Spring- field, Ohio to create a discipleship Bible study ministry to members of the Colorado legislature and constitutional offi- cers. "I believe this is the most important mission field in the world today," he said. While he loves serving as family ministries pastor, the job became mostly administrative and Pastor Solomon yearned to teach and preach. He shared this desire with long-time friend Brian Hanson, CapMin's International Director and ministry leader to the Ohio legislature. Pastor Hanson told him about CapMin and invited the Solomons to attend the May 2019 Training Conference in Seattle to learn more. e ministry resonated with the couple. While wistful about leaving, Pastor Solomon is also excited and has been working to raise support for the self-supporting missionary position with the hope that Naomi will be able to partner with him. "My prayer is that the Lord will use our efforts to see lost people come to Christ, to embolden political leaders to more faithfully follow Christ in their work and that we will have a gospel impact on the trajectory of our state and country," he said. "e thing that governs all of that is that I want my life to matter for the kingdom. I want God to be pleased with me and our work. And I think He is pleased when we love people, we love Him, and we point people to Christ." COLORADO Skyline of Denver, Colorado
