8 CM 2019 | From the Chair "Laura and I didn't know anything about Capitol Ministries ® before we met Ralph and Danielle through mutual friends. We knew our country was headed in the wrong direction and we had been praying for the nation and those who serve. I was blown away to learn that Capitol Ministries ® was leading Bible studies to political leaders in states and the U.S. capital where laws and policies are made, and now foreign leaders are calling Ralph to bring the gospel to their nations. I see God's hand all over this ministry and it's a blessing to be a part of it." Tom Moiola Member of the Capitol Ministries ® Board of Directors and the owner of Moiola Brothers Cattle Feeders, the family business that Tom's father and his two brothers began in 1946. C apitol Ministries® has been described as a thinking man's ministry because political leaders aren't the first who come to mind when we think of fulfilling the Great Commission. Usually we think of the multitudes—the general popu- lations—in other nations who have never heard the gospel. Reaching them is important, but Capitol Ministries® focuses on a less obvious group of people because they were iden- tified by God as those who should be reached first. In Acts 9:15, God tells Ananias to heal Saul's eyes, and He explains the mission of Saul, the man He would rename "Paul." "But the Lord said to him, 'Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel.'" We focus on kings, or as is more appli- cable in our world, the leaders of nations. When this is explained, we oen hear ma- ture Christians and many pastors alike say that the passage was always in plain sight, but that they missed it and its implication that a greater number of people will be reached with the gospel because of the influ- ence leaders have on so many others. I am grateful for our loyal donors and supporters who have caught this vision and who faithfully contribute to fur- ther the work of Capitol Ministries®. is year as I contem- plate the achievements of this ministry, I am very grateful that God is raising up godly men of substance to teach His Word. I was heartened to see this for myself this year at con- ferences in Seattle, WA, and Washington, D.C. ose who have joined with us are experienced believers, knowledgeable in God's Word and well connected with other believers in their regions and who strongly desire to teach the Bible to the leaders of their nations. We are also seeing the great impact that the Bible study Ralph Drollinger leads weekly to members of the White House Cabinet is having across the world. Legislators and parliamentarians from many other nations have noticed and have contacted us to ask if we would develop Bible study ministries for them and their colleagues. For the first time to aid in these efforts, we have global leaders across the world, men who are well connected and steeped in the Word. Closer to home, we have had tremendous progress in our Local Government Ministries with former Texas Governor Rick Perry leading efforts to create ministries to city and county officials across America. As a member and sponsor of the D.C. Bible studies, Gov. Perry's dedication to spreading the gospel to other political leaders at every level will inspire many. Ralph and Danielle Drollinger's bound- less energ y and passion for this ministry have resulted in significant achievements this year and I am thankful for their leadership. As chairman of the board, I am very grateful that as we close this year all our bills are paid and once again, Cap- itol Ministries® is in the black. And finally, I am grateful for all of you—the men and women of Christ—who support the work of this ministry. I ask for your continued financial support and prayers as we follow God's leading to fulfill the Great Commission among the political leaders of the world. Blessings, Rob Hilarides From the Chair
