Job Well Done! BICSI Japan Recognizes Cabling Skills Challenge Trainees BICSI Japan celebrated the 10 students who completed their 17 days of Cabling Skills Challenge training during an informal cere- mony on 4 March 2020 in Tokyo, Japan. Starting in April 2019, the beginner-level trainees (each with less than two years of experi- ence) devoted many hours of preparing for the BICSI Japan Cabling Skills Challenge, which took place during the 2019 BICSI Japan Conference on 21 November in Chiyoda City, Tokyo. Training was provided on all events featured in the actual Cabling Skills Challenge, including copper 110, Cat 5E and 6 termination, fusion splicing, testing and labeling, as well as a written exam. Many thanks to the instructors, who were all volunteers, and to the trainees who worked so hard. Students were given certificates of completion and valuable trainer evaluations. Congratulations to Masato Yumi of ASE-Net, Inc., winner of the 2019 BICSI Japan Cabling Skills Challenge. Masato went on to compete in the U.S. BICSI Cabling Skills Challenge during the 2020 Winter Conference this past February in Tampa, Florida. "It was a great experience for us! This was my first time with some of the equipment and tools, which I can now use at my job. I've learned a lot and have really strengthened my skills. I look forward to volunteering in the future as a BICSI Japan Cabling Skills Challenge trainer and judge." –Masato Yumi, ASE-Net Inc., Tokyo, Japan BICSI Japan is happy to announce that ANSI/BICSI 002-2019, Data Center Design and Implementation Best Practices, has been translated and published in Japanese.
