2018 Outstanding Member of the Year
On 13 March 2020, we lost a 25-year BICSI volunteer and mentor,
Bruce Nardone, RCDD, TECH. His tireless contributions to multiple
committees culminated in him being named the 2018 Outstanding
Member of the Year. We will miss Bruce dearly. In lieu of flowers,

NEW 14TH EDITION TDMM WINS TWO STC AWARDS

BICSI's new Telecommunications Distribution
Methods Manual (TDMM), 14th edition, has
won the prestigious 2020-21 Society for
Technical Communication (STC) Alliance
Competition Best of Show Award and the
Award of Distinction. Best of Show is the
highest award offered by the STC, and the
judges voted unanimously for the TDMM.
Only one technical publication can win Best
of Show and Distinction honors. The TDMM,
14th edition, was cited for its high marks in
consistency and accuracy in technical
content and design—all hallmarks
of a superb technical publication. Other
awards offered by the STC include the
Excellence and Merit awards. The TDMM
was up against the likes of Microsoft, the
U.S. Department of Homeland Security,
NASA, Bose and many others.
The STC Alliance Competition is comprised
of several states, including New York, Texas,
Georgia, Pennsylvania, Maryland and the
New England region. The TDMM, 14th edi-
tion, will now be prominently displayed at
the STC Annual Technical Communication
Summit Conference
and Expo in Bellevue,
Washington, in May
2020, and at various
other STC venues
throughout 2020-21.
