AROUND THE WORLD To keep the campaign fresh and exciting, in March 2020 the Almond Board created a new series of advertisements under a garage sale theme. In the advertisements, almonds are shown as saving the day by providing natural fuel in a fun, relevant manner. The "Garage Sale" advertisements will be shown primarily on national TV, Facebook and Instagram from March through June 2020. Industry members interested to view the "Do You Almond?" and "Garage Sale" advertisements, as well as past advertisements created by the Almond Board's GMD team, are encouraged to check out the California Almonds YouTube page at youtube.com/user/AlmondBoardofCA. US Advertising: In the "Garage Sale" advertisements, California almonds are shown as helping the leading gentleman "own his every day" as he snacks on the delicious nut and is then able to swiftly sell various items. Global Market Development Committee Task Forces ABC's Global Market Development Committee (GMDC) is made up of growers and handlers who represent all corners of the industry. In addition to this committee, ABC assembles task forces comprised of about three members each time a new advertising campaign is developed within a market. Task force members consist of GMDC and other industry members who are considered experts in a particular market, providing a unique perspective in the creative evaluation process. A task force will meet a few times throughout the development of a campaign and provide feedback and guidance to ABC staff on the campaign's creative design strategy. This process allows for constant industry involvement in global marketing decisions. To learn more about GMDC, task force opportunities or ABC's marketing efforts around the world, please contact Vice President of Global Market Development Emily Fleischmann at efleischmann@almondboard.com.
